and it up and running.
but why it is showing the following error when i an giving the commang mysql --version
here is the error

got this working on ubuntu 20.04... you're my hero

Simply install libncurses5
sudo add-apt-repository universe
sudo apt-get install libncurses5

This would now be a different problem... What happens if you sudo su, then mysql -u root ... ?
