From 25 July 2022 to 26 August 2022 AEST (UTC+10), I will go dark across my Discord and other public-facing social media accounts, in order to prepare for my HSC Trial exams.
Trial exams are the last internal assessment task set by the school, out of three internal assessment tasks which all contribute in total to 50% of my mark, as I approach my final exams here in Sydney NSW, Australia – the Higher School Certificate. These final exams directly impact my opportunities for university or other education next year, and a higher rank means I have access to more courses with a higher cut-off rank, hence I'm trying to do my best.
They're designed to mimic the style of the government-set HSC exam, which 78 000 students are taking this year in October, competing for the highest rank possible. Not only are they a sizeable portion of my internal assessment mark (30%), they're also a hugely valuable tool as I prepare myself to sit up-to-3 hour exams across 7 subjects and 8 papers, all in a matter of weeks.
I've been working very hard towards these exams over the past 2 years, and these Trial exams are often considered to be more difficult than the actual HSC exams itself, so I really want to make sure I get it right.
So I'll be gone for a while, but I'll hopefully be back, having done my best ^-^ I will also be gone again during October and November for the actual HSC exam as well, but hopefully between my Trials and final HSC exam, I'll have time to chat online.
