INGREDIENTS
1 cup salted butter softened
1 cup white (granulated) sugar
1 cup light brown sugar packed
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 large eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp sea salt
2 cups chocolate chips (or chunks, or chopped chocolate)

  - Mix salt, baking soda into flour
  - Cream butter, add sugar, brown sugar
  - Beat in eggs and vanilla extract
    to butter until fluffy
  - Mix in dry ingredients
  - Mix in chips
# Portion the dough
  - Use a scoop to roll dough into balls
  - Place on sheet 2" apart
# Bake the cookies
  - 375°
  - 8-10 minutes
# Cool the cookies
  - Cool on the sheet for 5 minutes
  - Move them to a wire rack
