Metro Value Description Comments
1 Individual Consumer is primarily responsible for the account
2 Joint Joint account for which primary consumer has contractual responsibility
4 Joint Joint account for which primary consumer has contractual responsibility
7 Has a co-signer Account where primary consumer is liable but if the primary consumer defaults on payment the co-maker is liable.
9 Has a guarantor Account where primary consumer is liable but another person becomes secondarily liable for the debt in the event of default by the principal debtor.
A Assumed Mortgage Account where the buyer assumes all the obligations under the mortgage just as if the loan had been made to the buyer. The major driving force behind assumptions is the lower interest rate on the assumed mortgage relative to current market rates.
T Terminated Primary consumer association with account is terminated. This will be reported with balance set to zero and narrative account closed. If account status is not derogatory-rate will be forced to 1.
W Commercial account Note: this will designate the account as being a commercial account and will be reported on the commercial database if greater than 50 records.
X Consumer deceased Primary consumer is deceased. This will be bypassed at the present time. If you wish to report the account with the latest status- advise Equifax so they can take appropriate action.
Z Delete This will delete the borrower from the account on the database. Note: this is to be used only if the account was reported inaccurately. If the entire account needs to be deleted the account status of “DA” must be used.
