You don't have to call the append()... just pass in the object like this new URLSearchParams({"foo": "bar"}) - most of the time you'll be dealing with the object containing key-value pairs anyway.

@LMBernardo if hasOwnProperty("propertyFromAParent") returns true for the child then it does
