For the sake of transparency I might as well type out the gist of what we talked about yesterday.

According to multiple Admins who have not been named, I stand accused of Poaching players from KKG servers to another server.

This used to be a problem during the alpha and beta days, but has only recently become a problem again due to the declining player base. In part because of the patches UWE and the CDT have been implementing.

Poaching being explained by yourself as someone coming into a server and suggesting to the players on that server that they come play on another server. Similar to advertising servers. While I agree wholeheartedly that this is a douchebag move I feel compelled to point out that it is not in your rules (at the time of this writing) and thus I think it difficult to justify this as a ban-able offense.

But since it is and no "I didn't know" defense has ever held up in a court, I'll move on from that.

Now is when I say that I have never done any such thing on a KKG server, nor do I ever intend to. I enjoy playing on KKG's captains servers, as evidenced by the fact that I have been a reserved slot holder for the past three or so months. Indeed I used to rather sit and seed a KKG server than play on an active rookie friendly server.

As I'm sure you know from experience a lot of Seeding is going down your friends list inviting everyone who is online and capable of joining a game. This is what I was probably doing at the time the Admin(s) in question banned me. I don't think I even connected to a KKG server the day I was banned as I was busy setting up and seeding the server I am accused of poaching players to. I'm not certain but a quick search through that day's logs from Shine will verify that either way.

Having played on KKG's servers for so long, I have built up a network of friends from the regulars that are seen playing there often. So what I imagine happened is that while I was going down my friends list inviting people to join the aformentioned server, I inadvertently invited someone who was attempting to seed KKG's server at the time. I am certain that KKG's servers were not active at the time or I would have joined them to play.

This person was either an admin, or else told an admin that I had invited them and that admin mistook this action for "poaching" players, which you said you had just discussed in a KKG admin meeting.

Thus to use your analogy of a College Party:
Rather than going to your party that has Heineken beer and suggesting to people there that we all go to a different party that has both Heineken and Budwiser beers, in addition to having girls present. I was texting my friends and telling them about the party I was at, and suggesting they join me.

If this is a ban-able offence I would caution you to see the slippery slope you are on. Since this is exactly what members and admins of the KKG server do to seed it during inactive times, ask yourself if you would have each of them banned from the multiple servers they invite people to join from. I know of no better way to fragment and destroy a player base than by forcibly limiting the number of decent servers that people can play on.

TL/DR:
I'm pretty sure I didn't even join a KKG server on the day that I was banned from them. But I know that I have never advertised any server other than KKG servers on KKG servers. If inviting my friends list to join and seed a server is a ban-able offense then I stand guilty. But before this incident, I was guilty of doing exactly that in favor of KKG servers and I know for a fact that many of the KKG admins do this often.

I rest my case and await your final decision.
