Ingredients

Batter

  • 160g cake flour (1.25 cups)
  • 180g self-rising flour (1.5 cups)
  • 400g sugar (2 cups)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 sticks butter softened (1 cup)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Note: Self-rising flour substitute

  • 240g all-purpose flour (2 cups)
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp kosher salt
