Grandma's German Pumpkin Bread

Doris' German Pumpkin Bread

Yield

  • 2 loaves (6x9 pans)

Wet Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 16oz pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup vegetable oil

Dry Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Mix wet ingredients until oil is worked into mixture
  • Sift dry ingredients
  • Add dry ingredients and blend well
  • Grease & fill loaf pans ½ - ¾ full
  • Bake 45 min - 1 hour at 350°F
  • Let rest - bread is ready when inserted toothpick comes out clean
