Minutes Tox dev meeting
Roadmap on the wiki
- Should only contain code related stuff, people wouldn’t be interested in business end of things.
Offline messaging
- Drakefish vanished. irungentoo will pick up the project if he has time.
Packaging
- Going with static builds packaging for now as it’s easier and nobody has time to set up shared builds.
- Shared builds would be nicer considering bandwidth.
ToxDNS
- No real solution was brought up that would be better than what we have now.
Antox (Astonex wants subliun to stop using the name Antox)
- Subliun and astonex should figure this out on their own.
- Our stance on this is: subliun deserves to use the name as he has pretty much taken over the project. Astonex hasn’t contributed any code in a while.
Toxcore
- irungentoo's goals (not working on anything at the moment):
- Improving file transfers
- Proper documentation to make it easier to contribute (2 or 3 full weeks)
- In general, fix bugs and/or finish some features that aren’t done (1+ month)
qTox
- New AV is almost done, audio works, webcam works, streaming desktop doesn’t work and the button functionality still needs to me implemented.
- New AV is considered 'ready to merge' once main clients implement it, irungentoo will review it and merge it.
- DaSpirit is going to work on improving the login window.
New groupchats
- It's still stuck on the TCP issue that was discussed before. It's not as easy as changing a few lines of code.
Website
- Because some people aren't happy with the design of the tox.chat site, installgen2 is going to work on redesigning the site. He will show what he came up with at the next meeting.
