Either don't take us off to a different page for each individual lesson OR make navigating from the lesson back to the lesson list easier/more obvious. Also, more gamification and better indications of lesson completeness. Allow users to tick off completed lessons. See Codecademy or Duolingo for examples. I love that it exists, and hope it continues to get better. Thanks for helping fledgling designers like myself find their feet!

I am new to design, I taught the design process for the first time in 2015-16. I am not sure as I am new to design and teaching the design concept. I don't know any designers personally. Well as you are new to me, I don't know I am curious to see what I will learn through Hack Design and how I will apply what I learn when I teach my students in grades 1-8.

Formally -- I work for an agency. Emerging design fields and best practices. I follow 99u and IDEO -- no individual designers at the moment. I would love to add some quizzes and suggested projects/ places to share those projects for feedback. I have really enjoyed Hack Design so far. I love what you are doing as an organization. Thank you for giving me something to look forward to each week :).

- student of web design - professionally, create web layouts, web forms, and print media. - doodling, reading, and enjoying curated images/imagery I'm open to learning everything now! - video tutorials I love the weekly themed e-news, variety of links, and format of the e-news. I also really like that the links go straight to the article you reference rather than to another summary on your website (Netted does it that way).

By working with projects Design process generaly. But if ones needs to point specifics from that, then the beginning (defining problem, learning users, mapping whats already there and not, etc) excites me more today, as a challenge. There are many and they tend to change for time to time. Probably those podcast'ers, I listen occasionally. Sean Wes, Creative Pep Talk, and some UX ones Quite a big bite probably, but some way integrated learn-by-making practices. Kreit! Go on!
Updating skills
I never practice design. The web design
I mainly practice design through coursework/projects. I've attempted to do side projects on my own, but progress has been slow with those. I'm still figuring out what areas of design interest me most. As of right now, I'm curious about UX. I know that's a bit vague, but I enjoy doing user research, figuring out who our users are and what their needs our, and using that to create experiences that will address both the values and needs of our users. I don't necessarily follow any specific designers, but I really enjoy listening to/watching talks by designers (I've watched a couple from Jared Erondu), and I've found some Facebook groups for designers that have been great for sourcing articles, etc. around design. I know that Hack Design is supposed to be an easy-to-follow design course without fake projects, but as someone who doesn't have any design-specific side projects at the moment, I feel like I read the lessons but I don't know what to do with the info after. Also, it might just be me, but sometimes the lessons link to several other articles (that have more links), and I feel a bit overwhelmed. So, I guess if I could change anything about Hack Design, I'd try to have all the important knowledge on the lesson page with some illustrations so those who want to learn more can read the links, but others won't feel like they're drinking from the firehose. I really appreciate how you've compiled a bunch of great lessons together. I have to admit that I haven't been following my weekly lessons (so I've read some here and there), so some of my comments might be false (potentially features that exist but I haven't noticed) - sorry in advance if that's the case!

I am a junior graphic designer at a wholesaler in the homewares industry. I also do my own illustrations, and designs on the side. Illustration, making repeat patterns, layout and publication design, typography and a bit of web design and ux I really love illustrator Olly Moss from the UK. Elizabeth Olwen who is a surface designer from Toronto. have some really interesting features on up and coming artist, best practices for web/print, helpful tips on helping to find what area of design you may like to specialise in. I do enjoying getting the emails, and find Hack design a good resource. However sometimes I do find some things not as interesting. but still like receiving emails and updates.

I'm a Marketing Director currently studying UX and interaction design to make a career shift. So, right now, I'm just practicing and creating for myself. Digital privacy and security, effective user research, design techniques and methods, rating various design online education resources I don't follow many right now. Julie Zhou, Luke Wroblewski. Most designers are just commenting on presidential politics right now. Lame. I would have all the lessons available on a single page that I can refer back to. I've just forwarded the emails to Evernote so I can digest them at my pace and go through all of the exercises. I'd prefer to just bookmark a web page and come back to it, though. Love it. Totally love it. One of the most accessible and helpful resources for learning design that I've found and I've been looking!
