Would be great if this is re-written in es6 classes and extend EventTarget
.
Would be great if this is re-written in es6 classes and extend
EventTarget
.
Thanks, I'll do it. I'll also publish a module soon
Updated Gist to user ES6 classes and syntax.
Created a new NPM module at https://www.npmjs.com/package/@alexis89x/broadcast-channel.
Please let me know!
Thank you all who used it ;)
@alexis89x Sorry for the wrong use of words. Currently, we cannot listen to message
events on the polyfill, this is needed to match more closely with the native BroadcastChannel
which allows also us to listen to message
events and do things like postMessage
.
to make it happen, we need to implement EventTarget
interface.

@fasidOnGit done! See the updated Gist :)
@alexis89x Very Nice. 🎉
Sorry I'm not that experienced yet but may I ask:
Hey how do I install this? Do I just put this .js file in my file structure with all the other code?
Hey, no I'm not using an npm. Alright I'll try it out.
I've found an alternative solution, though!
Thanks a ton,
Max
hey i do not know if it possible or not, will this work on safari? If not any alternate we can use which will work on almost all popular browsers?
buildResponse return value should have detail property, thx.
@alexis89x What's the license for this gist? MIT, Apache2, something else?
