Work with us at Plum!
Hey! Great to see you here.
We're Plum (https://withplum.com), and we're building a financial
assistant for our generation. Plum is a quirky Messenger chatbot
that links to your bank, understands your spending habits and helps
you save more, invest in things that matter and avoid overspending
on those pesky bills. We like to think of Plum as your money's
best friend :)
We have a lot of cool things to build in the pipeline and we need
great backend engineers to help us get there.
Here's a sample of upcoming work:
(1) Applying our saving intelligence to investments, not just
savings.
(2) Powercharging our NLP layer so it can also be used for things
like automated customer support.
(3) Moving our infrastructure to AWS, Docker & Kubernetes from
Heroku.
(4) Allowing people to save for specific goals and adapting the
saving algorithm to help them reach their goals.
(5) Expanding Plum to Europe, Brazil and India.
(6) Building a solid data & machine learning pipeline which will
uncover actionable insights from hundreds of millions of bank
transactions.
(7) Building the backend for our upcoming React Native app.
We ❤️ Python, React and Postgres although we're considering Cassandra
or DynamoDB for specific data elements. Our messaging/task system
is built on top of RabbitMQ and Celery.
If you want to join a small, tight-knit group of engineers, be
part of shaping our culture and helping people along the way, follow
the instructions below to get in touch:
