This looks great, but when I attempt to import into Zabbix 2.2 I get the following error:
Cannot find value map "Dell Open Manage arrayDiskSmartAlertIndication" used for item prototype "OM: Array Disk Smart Alert Indication ({#SNMPVALUE})" of discovery rule "OM: Discovery arrayDisk" on "Template SNMP DELL OpenManage".

Any insight? I think I might just need all your value map settings.

I had to go thru the OMSA SNMP Ref Guide to get the values. Quite the pain to say the least. Not sure if I can export the values I have now, or even how to export them. If need be, I can probably grab a couple of screen shots tho.....

For the noobs like me out there that might get lost here : go to Administration / General. In the dropdown, select "Value Mapping". Add these mappings :

Dell Open Manage arrayDiskSmartAlertIndication
1 ⇒ No
2 ⇒ Yes

Dell Open Manage arrayDiskState
0 ⇒ Unknown
1 ⇒ Ready
2 ⇒ Failed
3 ⇒ Online
4 ⇒ Offline
6 ⇒ Degraded
7 ⇒ Recovering
11 ⇒ Removed
13 ⇒ Non-RAID
14 ⇒ Not Ready
15 ⇒ Resynching
22 ⇒ Replacing
24 ⇒ Rebuild
25 ⇒ No Media
26 ⇒ Formatting
28 ⇒ Diagnostics
34 ⇒ Predictive Failure
35 ⇒ Initializing
39 ⇒ Foreign
40 ⇒ Clear
41 ⇒ Unsupported
53 ⇒ Incompatible

When i try to import this gist i have an error: Cannot find value map "Dell Open Manage arrayDiskSmartAlertIndication" used for item prototype "OM: Array Disk Smart Alert Indication ({#SNMPVALUE})" of discovery rule "OM: Discovery arrayDisk" on "Template SNMP DELL OpenManage". How i can solve this problem?

@Kaliha - You have to create (in 2.x) / import (in 3.0) value mappings in Configration -> General, provided by @elupus (btw thanks @elupus! You, saved my day ;))

Hi. First of all thanks for providing all this!
After importing the template and name mapping I tried add the template to an SNMP client. For all the items in the template if get "No such object available on this agent on this OID".

The server I'm trying to get info from is a PowerEdgeR620; OS: Ubuntu 14.04; installed: Dell OMSA (7.4).
Just want to mention I'm an utter noob if it comes to SNMP. I have set the SNMPcommunity on the agent and in zabbix server and tested the connection with snmpwalk. These OID's are they hardware specific? Or does someone have an idea what I'm doing wrong here

Never mind my last comment, I needed to make a change to my snmpd settings.

I did found out that the above template needs a change to be compatible with Zabbix 3 for the discovery rules.
The SNMP OID have a different structure: it changed from ".1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10893.1.20.140.1.1.2" to "discovery[{#SNMPVALUE},.1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10893.1.20.140.1.1.2]"

Okay, this is fantastic and exactly what I am looking for. I am running Dell OMSA 7.3 on Citrix Xenserver 6.5 and running Zabbix 3.0. I can see all of the disk statuses via the web UI and when I imported the value maps, that @elupus so graciously provided, and imported the template successfully. I am getting an error on the disk array, and disks and all that jazz within the discovery rules.

Here is what the discovery rules look like within the host which I am using. I have also verified that the host is listening on port 161 and I can walk the defined MIBs in the discovery rules.

[ ~]$ snmpwalk -v2c -c public 10.2.0.120 .1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10893.1.20.130.4.1.2
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.674.10893.1.20.130.4.1.2.1 = STRING: "Physical Disk 0:0:0"
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.674.10893.1.20.130.4.1.2.2 = STRING: "Physical Disk 0:0:1"
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.674.10893.1.20.130.4.1.2.3 = STRING: "Physical Disk 0:0:2"
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.674.10893.1.20.130.4.1.2.4 = STRING: "Physical Disk 0:0:3"
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.674.10893.1.20.130.4.1.2.5 = STRING: "Physical Disk 1:0:4"
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.674.10893.1.20.130.4.1.2.6 = STRING: "Physical Disk 1:0:5"
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.674.10893.1.20.130.4.1.2.7 = STRING: "Physical Disk 1:0:6"
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.674.10893.1.20.130.4.1.2.8 = STRING: "Physical Disk 1:0:7"
[ ~]$

I attempted to change the setting @colicab suggested but it broke the import of the template, I may just be changing the OID in the incorrect place and I will be the first to admit that I am still not 100% sure how the SNMP magic works within Zabbix.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

NoToR1OuS, have you solved your problem with Invalid SNMP OID ? I'm experiencing the same issue...

Did you resolved this issue, because I also have a problem with that?
