A Guide to doing the Advanced Rocketry mod in the MC Eternal Modpack

WARNING: You'll want to have some good infrastructure before starting, as the recipes for the more critical Advanced Rocketry machines are heavily modified to be MUCH more expensive, an ME System would be wise.

1st Stage

The following items will be required to be able to craft everything to get out of the Atmosphere:
MULTIBLOCK CORES:

  • Precision Assembler
  • Cutting Machine
  • Rolling Machine
  • Chemical Reactor

MULTIBLOCK COMPONENTS:

  • 31x Machine Structure
  • 5x any Motor (VulpesLib)
  • 4x any Coil (VulpesLib) [Best is Iridium]
  • 5x Power Input Plug
  • 5x Input Hatch
  • 5x Output Hatch
  • 3x Fluid Input Hatch
  • 1x Fluid Output Hatch
  • 1x Saw Blade Assembly
  • 2x Glass

You'll also want to craft a Holo-Projector from VulpesLib, and Sneak+Right-click with it in your hand, it should bring up a GUI. Despite how it may seem, there are more than 5 options in this GUI, to see the rest, simply hold Left-Click and drag your Cursor up to scroll down the list.

You'll want to find the entries with names identical to the Multiblock Cores you crafted up above, when you find one, select it by Left-Clicking the box with its name on it, after selecting one, exit the GUI and Right-click on a block, preferably on the floor, this should create a projection of the first layer of the Multiblock you selected, you can change layers by holding your Sneak keybind and Scrolling, scrolling Up will display the next layer up, while scrolling Down will show the previous layer, both can loop around to the Full projection.

With your new knowledge, build the four Crafting Multiblocks and prepare to use them to craft the machines in the next part.

2nd Stage

The following items will be required to get out of the Atmosphere
If you just want to reach the Moon, you do not need the Space Station Assembler
CORE DEVICES:

  • Rocket Assembling Machine
  • Space Station Assembler

OTHER COMPONENTS:

  • 9x Launch Pad
  • 8x Structure Tower
  • 2x Satellite Bay
  • 1x Guidance Computer

If you want to visit other Planets:

  • 1x Space Station ID Chip

If you want to visit The Moon:

  • 1x Planet ID Chip

FIrstly, you'll want to place the 9 Launch Pads in a 3x3 shape on the ground, after that, place the Structure Towers along one of the edges, in a tower going upwards, make sure lowest Structure Tower is at the same level as the Launch Pads.

Now place your Assemblers at the edge of the Launch Pad, 1 block up so they do not directly touch it.

Skip ahead to "Rocket Assembly" if travelling to The Moon

Place any formation of any blocks you desire ontop of the Launch Pad, this formation will end up being the origin of your Space Station, you will be able to adjust it once it is in Orbit, so i wouldn't worry too much about it.

To pack up your Space Station so you can send it into Orbit, insert your Space Station ID Chip (will be referred to as SSID Chip later in the guide) and one of the two Satellite Bays into the upper slots of the Space Station Assembler's GUI, feed RF power to both the Station Assembler and Rocket Assembling Machine, and click Build in the Space Station Assembler's GUI, this should pack up your Space Station into a Space Station Container and give you an SSID Chip with the ID of your Station.

NOTE: You can use the Satellite Builder to create copies of various AR chips including SSID Chips, if you fear you may lose it, it would be advised to craft the Sat Builder, it's a small multiblock composed of it and a Power Input Plug below it.

Rocket Assembly

Now we want to build a Rocket, there is a bare minimum which will be listed, but following it is not completely required to succeed.
BARE MINIMUM ROCKET FORMULA:

  • 2x Liquid Fueled Engine OR 1x Advanced Rocket Engine
  • 6x Liquid Fuel Tank (3x if using Advanced Engine)
  • 1x Satellite Bay
  • 1x Guidance Computer
  • 1x Seat (Advanced Rocketry)

You can assemble the blocks in any formation you want, as long as it does not go past the top of your Structure Tower or go off of the Launch Pad.
Once everything is placed, hit Build in the Rocket Assembling Machine's GUI.

3rd STAGE

To be fully prepared for preparation, you will need the following items:
CORE DEVICES:

  • Gas Charge Pad

OTHER COMPONENTS:

  • 4x Diamond
  • 1x Super High Pressure Tank

Space lacks Oxygen, you can't breathe there, so to avert this, apply Airtight Seal to your armor through possible Enchanted Books you have come across, or through your Chemical Reactor Multiblock by inserting your Armor, and a Diamond into the Input Hatch on the Multiblock, your Armor will end up in the Output Hatch. Chestplate pieces will additionally need a Super High Pressure Tank to seal which is where the Rolling Machine comes into play.

You also need to fill your Chestplate with Oxygen, to do that, you need to place your Gas Charge Pad and feed it Oxygen via some kind of Fluid pipe.

After the Charge Pad is being fed Oxygen, equip your Chestplate with Airtight Seal, and stand ontop of the Gas Charge Pad, it should now be filled, you can confirm if it is by checking if you have a bar above your Hunger labelled "O2"

Now that you have all the parts to get your Space Station into a functional state, it's time to launch your rocket, create Rocket Fuel using your Chemical Reactor Multiblock you built earlier, you will want 1000mB for every Liquid Fuel Tank you have on your Rocket.

Now that you have Rocket Fuel, put it into some sort of Fluid Container, such as a Bucket, Cell, or Tank, and Right-click on your Rocket with the containers in hand.

CAUTION: Upon Right-clicking a Rocket with a Fluid Container, the container will be fully emptied, voiding any fluid that cannot fit in the rocket.

NOTE: Information is is not relevant in MC Eternal 1.6.2.2, as you need Mozzarellium Crystals instead.

Last thing you need is Dilithium Crystals, there are several ways you can get ahold of it, but the one that will be described here is one of the least complicated.

Get Dilithium Ore from the Tinkers' Alloying Addon mod, process it into Ingots, and throw the Ingots into a Crusher from Immersive Engineering.

Check JEI to confirm that this works.
Look through JEI if you want to find other methods.

4th STAGE

The following items should be taken with you when you Blast Off:
MULTIBLOCK CORES:

  • Warp Core

CORE DEVICES:

  • Warp Controller

MULTIBLOCK COMPONENTS:

  • 4x Machine Structure
  • 2x Block of Gold
  • 15x Titanium Block
  • 1x Input Hatch

AND LASTLY: A WAY TO GET BETWEEN YOUR SPACE STATION AND HOME (YOU MIGHT LOSE ACCESS TO YOUR STATION IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A BACKUP TRAVEL METHOD TO IT!)

For Moon-Seekers

Now that your Rocket is fueled and your Armor is sealed from the void of Space, it's time to insert the Planet ID Chip into your Rocket and blast off!

Sneak+Right-click your Rocket, this should open a GUI, Left-click the spinning Guidance Computer in this GUI and insert PID Chip, then press ESC to exit.

NOTE: You may crash when opening the Guidance Computer's UI through the Rocket UI, if that happens, reboot your client, that should fix it.

And it's time to head up, hop aboard your Rocket with Right-click, and take off!

Now that you're in Space, you should be prompted to "Press SPACE to descend", it is suggested to ignore this and instead wait for Auto-descend, as minor issues seem to occur with Manually-engaged descent.

NOTE: If you are instead stuck in a void, at y1000, cannot see you or your Rocket, and are not prompted to "Press SPACE to descend", Log out of your world/server, after that, log back in, and you should be prompted to descend.

And now you should finally be on The Moon! I hope this helped!

For those seeking to reach faraway worlds

Now that your Rocket is fueled and your Armor is sealed from the void of Space, it's time to insert the Space Station Container from earlier into your Rocket and set course!

Sneak+Right-click your Rocket, this should open a GUI, Left-click the spinning Satellite Bay in this GUI and insert the Space Station Container into the slot shown, press ESC and Sneak+Right-click the Rocket again, this time, Left-click the spinning Guidance Computer and insert your SSID Chip, press ESC again to exit.

After a little while descending, you should land on that formation of blocks you packed into your Space Station Container earlier, from here, build out a little and use your Holo-Projector to display a projection of the Warp Core Multiblock, proceed to build it on your Space Station.

Once the Core is formed, insert Dilithium Crystals into the Input Hatch ontop of it, and place the Warp Controller somewhere on the Space Station.

Now open the Warp Controller's GUI by Right-clicking it, and click "Select Planet", find the desired Planet, Left-Click it, and hit the "Select" button in the Left, the icon on the right side of the Warp Controller's GUI should now be changed to the Planet you selected, now hit "Warp!" and wait a bit.

After the Warp sequence ends, get on your Rocket with Right-click and take off. NOTE: The same information about descent mentioned earlier applies here.

And now you should finally be at your desired Planet!, I hope this helped!
