A resource typically used in work settings wherein people fill out various questions related to, but not limited to, workstyles, communication preferences, and affinities.
I value your time outside of work more than I value the time you spend at work. As long as we are meeting our expectations and working effectively and efficiently, I don’t care if you leave 5 seconds after you finish everything that was expected from you for the day.
What bothers me the most is when something that obviously needs to be done can’t or won’t get done and I don’t have the power/ability to do it myself especially if it has to do with efficiency.
I feel most energized when I find a state of flow, where the absence of tedium, a focus on high-impact tasks, and an absence of ambiguity come together to create an optimized work experience. Big energy boost is when I know I can finish and leave early!
Tedious activities. I totally can do it and push through, but you'll probably catch me trying to automate at least one part of whatever tedious process I'm working with.
I have a very messy desk, but an impeccable digital working space. From my github repositories and my folder organization locally, organization is the key to success.
I give gold stars to people who aren’t afraid to challenge authority, a traditional way of doing things, or rules.Sometimes it takes bravery to make something better and I’m always looking for better and more efficient. Also people who aren’t judgemental and can see many different sides to things.
Do NOT litter in my presence!! No further explanation!!
I value diligence, curiosity, authenticity, and integrity. Stubbornness is welcome around me as someone who is also strong-minded! I like people who aren’t afraid of being challenged.
My coaching style is very laissez-faire. If you want to make progress, you need to let me know directly how I can support you. Otherwise, I will assume that you’ve got it. I can make assumptions about what will help you best, but I will not prefer making them.
Directly. Tell me what you need from me first, reasoning later. If you need help making a decision, same thing - tell me the outcome/action first and then explain the reasoning behind it. I can process a lot of different perspectives and I will play devil’s advocate, but only to the benefit of the outcome. I never take a different perspective to judge or belittle another person’s position. Sometimes I can get annoyed if I feel like someone is making me think for them, but with action leading the conversation, I understand that you’ve given lots of thought to whatever you’re asking me which makes me feel like you value my time.
Different perspectives - If you can shine a light on something in a new way, I’ll definitely rethink my own position.
It needs to be action oriented - I don’t do well with sole criticism. I need to know what needs to change.
Any of these that have to do with being action oriented and efficient are most important to me. If I know that you are doing your best to communicate with me in an action oriented way and/or you are trying your best to be efficient, it’ll be really hard to get off my good side.
As an extremely action oriented person and someone passionate about efficiency, many folks may make the assumption that I am extremely tied to results and hitting benchmarks. While I can be intense in my pursuit of efficiency and excellence, I give warm welcome to trial and error and making mistakes. Some may also find that I care too much about responsibility, however, I understand that my fellow workers are human too and we have so much more to us than our lives at work. Know that my core motivation is that I believe the faster we can make something and make it well, the faster we can go home (and the better we can make a piece of the world)!
“You have strong Dominant traits. Your Dominant traits are much stronger than any of the other three DISC style traits.
Some words that describe you are:
- Directive,
- Decisive,
- Fast-paced, and
- Driven
You have primarily task-oriented and outgoing traits. You probably like to get results. It's likely that you get frustrated by a slow pace or indecision in others.“
