We are looking for a Full Stack Software Developer at Made in Memphis Entertainment.
We are building an all-powerful catalogue management tool for the music industry. It automatically tags metadata for tracks and artists using algorithms and the industry's data in order to improve the process of finding, curating and sharing music. All that presented with a beautiful and powerful interface. We are a building the product for ourselves and our customers. Our powerful platform has one purpose: empower music and sync managers.
We are looking for a software engineer/developer with professional experience in Ruby on Rails and ReactJS. A successful candidate will be working alongside a small team of highly talented engineers to build and maintain new features for our media and entertainment platform, automate processes, build reusable components and develop user-facing features.
The ideal candidate should have a desire to grow, learning industry standards such as DDEX, CISAC, ISO and other specialized skill related to the digital supply chain.
- Responsible for developing innovative web applications and software products for both Mac OS and Windows environments.
- Responsible for the full lifecycle of software product development.
- Communicating with project manager and business analyst to explain and define features/user experience.
- Collaborating closely with Lead Software Engineer and management team.
- Researching and sharing knowledge within your team.
- Perform code reviews for your peers.
- Provide application production support.
- Document software procedures and plans such as requirement specifications, design documents, versions, and test plans.
- 2+ years of developing software with Ruby/Rails.
- 1+ years of experience with ReactJS or real interest in the framework.
- Experience with HTML5 and CSS3.
- Experience working in an AWS and Heroku cloud environment
- Experience working with version control systems like git.
- Experience with REST API development/
- Knowledge of relational and No SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Redis and ElasticSearch.
- Working knowledge of design patterns like MVC or MVVM.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Requires bachelor’s degree (in Engineering, Computer Science or related field) or equivalent experience.
- Understanding and practice of Unix methodology, Agile and DRY principle.
- Experience with Redux/Flux and utilising a unidirectional data flow in ReactJS.
- Experience with Electron framework.
- Graphic, Design and/or UX skills.
- Experience with systems administration i.e. Linux stack/AWS/Heroku or Docker.
