En este workshop vamos a instalar juntos Istio 1.4.2 en un cluster de Kubernetes 1.15 explicando los conceptos basicos de cualquier Service Mesh a la vez que se explican objetos de Istio sobre Kubernetes.
Se cubriran los siguientes temas:
- Istio. Introducción (ligera) e instalación usando kustomize.
- Despliegue de una aplicación de demo.
- Mutual TLS.
- Configuración simple de enrutado.
- Configuración avanzada de enrutado.
- Egress gateway.
El Workshop tiene una duración estimada inferior a 3 horas. Se requiere traer Ordenador Portatil, (preferiblemente linux/mac) con el siguiente software instalado:
- kubectl (1.15.x)
- kustomize (>v3)
- stern
- furyctl: https://github.com/sighupio/furyctl/releases (needed to prepare the installation)
- git, grep, awk, curl, terminator/iterm2
Nosotros te daremos acceso a un cluster de kubernetes y te daremos el fichero de configuración cuando tomes asiento.
Intelygenz será el host y SIGHUP pagará las pizzas y los refrescos.
In this workshop we will install Istio 1.4.2 together in a Kubernetes 1.15 cluster explaining the basic concepts of any Service Mesh while explaining Istio objects on Kubernetes.

The workshop has an estimated duration of less than 3 hours. It is required to bring a laptop, (preferably linux/mac) with the following software installed

We will give you access to a kubernetes cluster along with the configuration file when you take your seat.
