What does Munchkin do to ensure the quality and safety of its products?

For more than 15 years, Munchkin has been a trusted brand that retailers and parents have depended on with confidence, and we work hard to maintain that trust. The safety and well-being of our consumers is our top priority. All of our products are independently tested and meet or exceed the safety standards for our industry as established by both the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) International. We are constantly in touch with these national safety organizations to ensure we are up-to-date with clear scientific findings and any changes in regulations. In addition, follow-up tests are conducted on all of our products at periodic intervals after they launch to ensure each product's continued safety.

Do any Munchkin products contain Bisphenol-A (BPA)?

Very few Munchkin products contain polycarbonate plastic, the source of BPA. While national safety organizations have reiterated their position that BPA is safe even at levels much higher than those at which infants are likely exposed, Munchkin wants all consumers to have full knowledge of product materials so that parents may make their own informed decisions about what is right for their children. For those few Munchkin items that do contain BPA, we are exploring non-polycarbonate plastic replacement materials.

Will you give my name and contact information to other companies?

No, Munchkin will not provide or sell your registration information to any other company.

I have a great product idea. How can I submit it?

Unfortunately, Munchkin can not accept unsolicited product suggestions, concept or ideas.

Where are Munchkin products sold at retail?

Visit our Find a Retailer section to find a store near you. Just type in your zip code and you'll see a list of stores near you. Please note that you should always check with the store to confirm the product is available.

What is a Onester™?

Our Onester is a one-piece body suit that leaves baby's legs uncovered and fastens with snaps at the crotch. That's where our similarities to other infant body suits ends. We made ours better by adding a double-layer on the front to keep baby's tummy and chest warm while baby is in a car seat, stroller or crib. This double layer front consists of 2 different coordinating prints, both in a timeless Americana style. The back is made of a single layer of fabric to keep baby's back side cool. We've also added a shiny brass snap in the center to guide proper snap alignment. Our Onesters are designed with the finest knit fabrics (100% cotton), for a super soft feel.

What is a Sleepster™?

Our Sleepster is a one-piece sleep suit with legs that fasten with snaps at the crotch. We built a better baby all-in-one by adding a built-in blanket to keep baby's front side warm while baby is in the crib. This double layer front consists of 2 different coordinating prints, both in a timeless Americana style. The back is made of a single layer of fabric to keep baby's back side cool. We’ve constructed convertible feet so the Sleepster grows with baby, and a shiny brass snap in the center to guide proper snap alignment. Our Sleepsters are designed with the finest knit fabrics (100% cotton), for a super soft feel.

What is the double layer, and how does it work?

Pediatricians recommend that nothing be placed in a crib with a baby, not even a blanket, for safe sleep. Our Sleepster is constructed with a double layer front -- a built in blanket -- which is very important for keeping baby both warm and safe in the crib. During daytime hours, babies spend the majority of their time on their backs (stroller, swing, bouncy seat, car seat) – so their front is exposed while their back is covered. Only the mbaby Onester has a patent-pending double-layer front for built-in comfort.

How do I find the right size? Do the garments run small/large?

mbaby apparel is made true to size. To make sure you order the right size every time, please see our size chart for specifications that include age, height and weight parameters for each size.

Are mbaby Sleepsters treated to prevent flammability?

Since our Sleepsters are made of natural cotton fibers, it is not necessary to treat our fabrics with flame retardant chemicals. Our garments meet CPSC flammability requirements.

Will this item shrink? Should I size up to allow for shrinkage?

Our fabrics have been pre-shrunk, so you do not need to size up to allow for shrinkage, please reference our sizing chart when ordering product.

What size should I purchase for a baby gift?

Determine how old you would llike the baby to be when they wear your gift. Use the size chart and choose the size that corresponds with the age you have picked. You can also use our size chart to help select correctly sized accessories to match.

Are your pieces organic?

Most of our solid white items are made from organic cotton.

Should I wash the garment before first use?

Diaper Pail

The lid on my pail has become difficult to close.

This may be a result of the weight of too many diapers being placed in the bag so you may want to try placing fewer diapers in the pail. If the problem persists, it may be a result of some baking soda that has accidentally spilled into the gear system. This can easily be remedied by flushing warm water through the pail and allowing it to completely dry before using again.

Do you offer replacement parts for the Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail refill cartridge?

Please contact Munchkin Customer Service at 800-344-BABY(2229) or <a href="mailto:" cserv@munchkin.com"="">cserv@munchkin.com for information on how to replace your refill cartridge.

The refill cartridge on my Arm & HammerTM Diaper Pail stopped dispensing, but I can see that there is baking soda still in it. What should I do?

Remove the baking soda cartridge from the vented base, shake well to break up any clumps, and re-install. Also, make sure that you have not filled the cartridge above the fill line as this will impede proper dispensing.

How do I refill the cartridge on my Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail with baking soda once it runs out?

You can refill with your own Arm & Hammer® baking soda by removing the baking soda cartridge from the vented base, then removing the filter disc by turning counter-clockwise. Cover the dispensing holes with a piece of tape and fill the cartridge up to the fill line. Re-insert the filter disc by turning clock-wise. Re-install cartridge into vented base and remove the tape.

Can I refill the cartridge on my Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail with something other than baking soda?

The cartridge has been specifically designed for use with Arm & Hammer® baking soda for optimum dispensing and odor control.

When loading the bag in my Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail, I tried to push down to snap the ring under the tabs, but it did not work.

Try sliding the ring under the tabs to secure the bag in place. Bag will not work properly if the ring tabs are not secured.

When is it time for me to empty the refill bag in my Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail ?

You'll know it is time to change the bag once you can no longer comfortably place more diapers into the pail. Filling the bag beyond capacity will lead to premature wear on the bag and is not recommended.

Can I use the Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail Refill Bags with other diaper disposal systems or trash cans?

No, the Arm & HammerTM Diaper Pail Refill bags are specifically designed for use with the Arm & HammerTM Diaper Pail.
