Degoogle process completed.

No more google apps or services on my Cyanogenmod phone, instead only free software
alternatives - and proprietary banking applications fetched from shady apk download
sites are installed, because Play Store does not allow people to download apps even
with an google account being provided.

Why would anyone use an Android without Google?

- avoid the spynest that Google and USAs intelligence and corporate community is

- avoid battery drainage from Google bugs being unanswered for years.

- avoid other misfeatures and malware practices from google apps. Such as this:

Using google maps felt like using a nagware virus always asking for some permission
to store everything I do at googles servers forever, NO I do not want to give google
my location history.

Other google apps also feel the same - now that Ive been google-free for a while, 
I realize even using google search is a mental exercise in not clicking on some 
advertisement, google search is a mental manipulator. 

Google is very very good at engineering "features" which very slowly chip away at our
privacy and our data. OK fine, that was a good deal when we had something in return, 
but even gmail is a rats nest of ads and features engineered to look at spam than it
was when it launched.

Ironically, so Google mail had the best spam filter, only to replace those ads with
their own.

My mail is handled by https://mail.yandex.com, less known feature, you can have domain
emails for free. 

Nextcloud for Calendar, Notes, Documents, Photo, File and Video-syncing. 

There is nothing I miss from the play store - its full of easy manipulative 
"clash of clans" like games and apps - f-droid.org has much better quality apps for
everything. Games you would trust a toddler to play and not accidently buy something.

That is all, if you considered degoogling, do it, its similar to using Linux - you give
up some comforts, it is some pains, but gain so much more in unexpected ways.
