I have compiled an alternative soundtrack to use with the remake of FFVII on the PC, using tracks from various artists and other FF Games and would like to share it with anyone who would like it. I have looped every track of mine with this method and managed to loop them all perfectly. So far the hardest part is figuring out how to get the Sounds to loop properly. Also the OGG engine in the game is looking at METAdata within the OGG Container to determine where to loop properly, so it involves editing the metadata manually one my one after finding the perfect loop point. It seems to have a clever installer that lets you choose what tracks to install. Just credit them in a readme or the files itself. The OGG format that is in use with the new game loops by the sample, not by bytes. The PC MIDIs were notably modified from the PSX tracks, mostly in a way that the background noise would be much louder or there would be missing instruments. Like we wrote last year, —so much so that you could experience something like an HD remaster if you want.
