Virtual Tabletop Projects for Students @ Rensselaer Center for Open Source
The League invites you to join us on Discord to learn Foundry Virtual Tabletop package development. If you haven't already, check out our short Youtube video explaining the types of gaming experiences we create.
We identified each project in this list as a "good fit" for RCOS students.
We have a Trello board with several ideas ready for you to pick up. If you'd like to come up with your own, please visit our Discord's #package-ideas channel to confirm it's not a duplicate of an existing project.
Projects not on this list haven't been identified as "help wanted," but if you'd like to work on a different one reach out! We'll help you evaluate if it's a good fit.
Please let us know when you are ready to submit your Foundry-related RCOS project. We will need your Foundry VTT and Forge account names in order to award you a license and web hosting.

- Hero Creation Tool - Step-by-step module tool for creating 5e characters in FoundryVTT.
- Foundry Factory - An interactive command line tool to bootstrap new modules and systems for Foundry Virtual Tabletop.
- FX Master - A module for Foundry Virtual Tabletop that adds various special effects.
- Autocomplete Inline Properties - Add inline property autocompletion for fields that can use them.
- OSE - System to play Old School Essentials or B/X Games in Foundry VTT.
- medik-foundry-ui - A customized version of Wooden UI by Lazarius and Dark RPG Styled UI by Xbozon.
- Journal Code Editor - A module for Foundry VTT that allows you to modify the source code of your Journal Entries using the editor library of your choice.
- Export Sheet to PDF - A system agnostic tool to export your Foundry character sheet to a PDF.
- mob-attack-tool - A module for Foundry VTT that offers a tool for handling mob attacks in the dnd5e system.
- SWADE Spices and Flavors - A theme editor for the SWADE game system on Foundry VTT.
- SWADE Immersive Macros - A collection of macros for the SWADE game system on Foundry with a focus on immersion (i.e. by using sound effects).
- party-overview - Provides an instant overview about vital stats of the players active in the current scene.
- foundry-vtt-dnd5e-types - A community effort to create type definitions for the dnd5e system in Foundry VTT.
- fvtt-module-theatre - allows for a visual novel style RP experience for text, and text-voice hybrid games.
- document-sheet-registrarA FoundryVTT library module which enables the registration of alternative document sheets for all document types that don't normally have this capacity.
- PDFoundry - A fully featured PDF viewer module for Foundry VTT, including form fillable actor sheets, journal links, and more!
- Core Modular Dungeon - A design specification by the Cabal of Modular Mapmakers that can be used with code to make cool dungeons
- [WIP] Material Lights - A library for connecting FoundryVTT to your beloved RGB devices! Created in a weekend-long hackathon
