won't the requirement to use specific NIC names be a problem with scalability? I'd try to check all the nics for the ability to ping the iscsi portal or run discovery against it, and autopopulate the list.

hmmm, each hyp should have its own 'iscsi_default_ifaces' entry defining the interfaces which can reach the target ..

@dan, I believe user may not want to login to target using all his nics automatically, rather a list of nics which he prefer to find a path ..

the NICs that can't reach the portal won't be able to login and can be filtered out.
