Mod 2 Monster Shop Group Project - Feedback for Alex

Project Feedback Name: Ana Pérez Santos

Partner: Michael Alex Lynch

Project Reflection

What is one thing that went unusually well during this project?

  • The DTR process, starting the project as a group, then splitting up into sub-pairs to tackle different parts of the project
  • Staying on track using Trello as our project planning tool, following an accurate Github workflow
  • Being in constant communication by having daily check-ins before starting the day, and communicating when a piece of functionality is complete and ready for review
  • Trying people's suggestions, playing to people's strengths
  • Having flexibility for individual learning needs

In hindsight, is there anything you would have done differently?

  • Adding all contributors (in GitHub) to portions of the work that was either worked in a group or pairs
  • Although the project as a whole has collaborators, when branches are worked on by multiple people, only the person that commits that branch as a whole and does a pull request is credited

If you were working with this partner again, what is something that you would want to focus on improving as a team?

  • At the end, I can tell we were somewhat tired, and our communication dropped a little bit, but overall the team communicated consistently

Feedback for your partner

What strengths did your partner bring to the project?

  • Alex's organizational skills helped us carve out a plan for the project, from the DTR to the end, and I belive that helped us stay focused on our goals, meeting them each time

What is something they could do better?

  • Alex does a great job at managing the role of driver with minimal input from the rest, however, that can be quite stressful sometimes, so reaching out to team members sooner, rather than later would be beneficial
