Project Reflection

  • What is one thing that went unusually well during this project?
  • Being able to communicate freely about what is not working. In the past, I've never felt comfortable speaking up in a collaborative project, and it felt safe doing that with my partner.
  • In hindsight, is there anything you would have done differently?
  • Even though one of my goals was to advocate for my needs in the project, I would have liked to reach out to instructors sooner about communication/different understandings about what pair programming is, so we could have a better idea of how to work together and be on the same page.
  • If you were working with this partner again, what is something that you would want to focus on improving as a team?
  • I would like to focus more time on the DTR, and be more specific when it comes to our needs, so that we are all on the same page.
  • I would like to revisit what pair programming is because my understanding of pairing means there is a driver and navigator, and they work together on a piece of functionality, where the navigator has a bit more of a guiding role and the driver writes the code.

Feedback for your partner

  • What strengths did your partner bring to the project?
  • Organizational skills: the project board was wonderful!
  • What is something they could do better?
  • Being open to working with others in a different working style than her own, because there will be plenty people of all different abilities, so figuring out how to work with other people, and meeting them where they are is important to learn, so it doesn't feel like a burden.
