  • install xcape
  • run: xcape -e 'Shift_L=Escape;Control_L=Control_L|G;Caps_Lock=Control_L|G'

Holding SHIFT/CTRL/CAPS keys will work as usual, simple press will work as ESC(Shift)/CTRL+G(ctrl/caps)
