Plan for 20.1

Get together and Warm up (12–12:20)

Drills (12:20 to 13)

  1. 1 on 1 throws (12:20 to 12:30)
  2. 7 cut drill (12:35 to 12:55)

Focused Games (13 to 14:00) - breaks in between as per coaches discretion

1. Asymmetric offense with bonus points for 7 cuts(1 point for score, 2 points for 7 cut scores)(30 minutes)

Coaching Cues and Questions::

  1. What strategy can you use so that 7 cuts are facilitated?
  2. What throws do you need to practice to make this easier for you?

2. Possession game(30 minutes)

Target Number of Passes is set to 5. Games last 5 minutes. Turn over counts, game ends on 5 minutes. Things we can experiment with number of passes: . Minimum of 5 passes before you score, 2. Maximum of 10 passes but minimum of 5

Coaching Cues and Questions:

Often when faced with this problem players respond by slowly moving the disc until the target is reached then panic when they realise they are running out of passes and then trying to force the disc into a crowded endzone.

The key question is:

  1. How can you cut and move the disc so that the score occurs in natural flow?

Additional areas you will want to question are:

  1. Are there any technical skills we need to improve in order to throw more completed passes?
  2. Does the number of passes needed affect how fast we move the disc?

Games (14 to 14:55)

3v3 or 4v4
