For when I get to go to Japan : -
I recently purchased a Dell XPS 13 - 9350 in a good deal.
It is a refurbished model - with Core i5-6200U (SkyLake) CPU, 8GB LPDDR3, 128GB M.2 SATA SSD and 1 USB-C port.
First thing I did was to log into windows without using a Microsoft account, rather creating a local account. I then used Microsoft's amazing browser - Edge to download Firefox :-)
I proceeded to google search for Dell XPS 13 - 9350 drivers, and downloaded the updates to drivers and BIOS update.
Installed all the drivers patiently with several reboots.
Updated Windows while doing so.
Finally installed the BIOS update. It would flash the BIOS automatically and seemed to update a bunch of things by itself.
Once done, I logged back into Windows, and used "Storage management" to shrink my C drive to 40 GB from the 101GB it was. |
