Terms of Service – Rewind

Effective Date: 1 July 2025

Welcome to Rewind (the “App”). These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you and the  Rewind app providers (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Scope of the Service

Rewind allows you to converse with AI‑generated representations of historical figures. The App forwards your prompts to OpenAI’s language‑model API and relays the resulting text back to you.

Privacy Policy – Rewind

Thank you for choosing Rewind (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains—in plain language—what personal information we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it. By using the App you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account with Apple Sign‑In or Google Sign‑In we receive the unique user identifier, your display name, email address and any profile photo URL that the provider (Google/Apple) shares. Your chat messages stay solely on your device; they are only forwarded (encrypted in transit) through our server for the few milliseconds needed to relay them to OpenAI and back. We do not store those messages. If you purchase a subscription via Apple In‑App Purchase, Apple supplies a purchase receipt containing the transaction and product identifiers; we store those identifiers so that your entitlement can be restored if you reinstall the App.
