Plash App Beta feedback

Download package name and app name should be same. I downloaded NewsAppMagazine and was looking for that after installing. Didn’t find it.

The download should be from plash.in - not a random box.com link

Login screen

Don’t need the “login” word on top of textboxes. The bottom “Login” button is prominent enough call-to-action.

Remember or Remember Me instead of Remember password

Placeholder text should be subtle-r

The date controls in the DOB field are not working. Shows some category dropdown, not dates.

First field says “Name”. Should be “email”.

Signed up but can’t login. Says “user doesn’t exist”. I didn’t

Feature wish: sign up from web (for power users who use 1Password/KeyPass to generate and remember logins)

Category Selection

When I land there I feel the account is created. A wizard like step 2/3 will help users understand that they are still creating the account

The “next” callout on the category selection is too subtle. Should be a big button like the previous screens at the bottom of the screen.

Reads SlingPlayer, not Plash :)

Messages like

“There are no shared/liked/bookmarks on the server”

The “on the server” is confusing for the user (who does not need to know or care about a “server”). It should just be “There are no shared/liked/bookmarks”

Misc

Plash symbol on left-nav should be like Plash’s logo.

Top nav on article needs to be more prominent. It’s bordering on unreadable.

Adding to bookmark, liking does not change the icons.

The counts for bookmarks/likes should be right next to the icon I click. It’s somewhat disjoint on the left side.

From within an article, clicking the menu (left top) shows “Menu not available”. The menu button should not be visible/available in this screen if it can’t be used.

Also, why not?

The standard android “settings” link (bottom of device, right) is not available.

Should be available and should take me to the settings screen.

Welcome email is not formatted. HTML tags are visible.
