Prerequisites

It's hard to see, but each of the red lunches from Tuesday to Friday are filled with contacting at least 3 devs through Slack (if Turing grads) or LinkedIn at the following: Tuesday: City of Denver, Wednesday: Gusto, Thursday: CyberGRX, and Friday: Xactly. After contact, if they are available, scedule meetings accoringly. Also screenshotted is my current list of reach outs. As of this morning, I've had another 2 lunch/coffee meetings with potential employers, one from Food Maven, one from Guild Education.
Why do you want mentoring in the job search?
- I want mentoring because the most important part of my time at Turing, and the whole reason I came here, is so that I can - and I'm just being honest - land a highly satisfying, well-paying job as soon as possible. I would LOVE to start working again, and I would LOVE to leave Turing with a job already secured. I think mentoring will be key to my success; both to give me the right tools, and to push me to succeed.
How will you hold yourself accountable to bala
What motivates you?
The desire to provide for my wife, son, and doggo. :)
How will you keep yourself going when faced with rejection in the job search?
I'm pretty good at staying positive; rejection is just a part of life.
How will you hold yourself accountable to your plans? (Ex: Attend Mod 5, meet with cohortmates, attend Kayt's coffee shop hours, etc.)
Attend Mod 5, certainly. But honestly, having a family is the strongest accountability framework a parent can have.
How do you like to communicate?
