Rick the Optus POS Robot

Rick: Hi there, I"m an Online Service Support Rep. How can I help you today?

Ben: Hi, wondering how i enable call divert / forwarding?

Rick: Sure, will help activate voicemail and setting diversions.

Ben: is it a free service?

Rick: Your voicemail depends on the plan.

Rick: Let me check.

Rick: You can set your diversions by entering **004*321# into your phone.

Rick: The voicemail pin is 0000.

Rick: Would you like me to set Diversions on your account?

Ben: hmm on an iphone it comes up with all this text on the screen

Ben: is there a way for me to just choose which number to divert to when i turn it on

Ben: so i can divert to different numbers if necessary

Rick: Okay, when you wish to divert the call.

Rick: Is it All Conditional - i.e. Busy, No Reply & Unreachable).

Rick: Call Forward to VoiceMail (Only Busy):

Rick: Call Forward to VoiceMail (Only No Reply):

Rick: Call Forward to VoiceMail (Only Unreachable):

Ben: i'd like to divert all calls to a different phone number

Ben: not to voicemail

Rick: I understand, what is the number you wish to divert for Call Forward No Answer / Reply?

Ben: i don't understand, can i not do that part myself. ie, what if in 5 mins time i want to divert to another number and then 5 mins after that to another one, then again 5 mins later? do i have to contact you each time (that is an exaggerated situation, but just dont understand why theres not a code i put in my phone or something to self manage)

Ben: like this website http://personal.optus.com.au/web/ocaportal.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=Template_woRHS&FP=/personal/customerhelp/producthelp/mobilehelp/howtoguidesmobile/usingcalldivert&site=personal

Ben: although pushing *78 doesnt work on my phone

Rick: First you have to set up voicemail and then set your diversions.

Ben: ok, so i should already have voicemail

Rick: For Setting Up VoiceMail dial 321.

Rick: Yes.

Rick: Follow the prompts to set up your new PIN, Name Recording and Greeting.

Ben: yep done that

Rick: Initially your PIN will be the last 4 digits of your new mobile phone number. You will need to reset it to a number of your choice with a minimum of 4 numbers to a maximum of 9 numbers.

Rick: You must complete the tutorial in full to ensure the VoiceMail box is set up. This includes all 3 parts of the tutorial. Failure to do so will cause the tutorial to play each time you call 321.

Rick: Is the voicemail set up?

Ben: yes

Rick: Cool.

Rick: Please tell me the diversion and number you wish to send.

Ben: Why do you keep asking me that!!

Ben: I have told you numerous times

Ben: i would like to be able to constantly change the number at my discretion

Ben: i would like to enable and disable it when i'd like to

Ben: is there a code i can enter in my phone to do so?!

Ben: or is there a website?!

Ben: if not then just say so

Rick: Yes, Cancel Diversions to VoiceMail: # # [divert code] # send (eg: to cancel all conditional - # # 004 # send)

Ben: why are you saying voicemail!

Rick: Yes, also you can check the voicemail by logging to MyAccount.

Rick: Do you have any other questions for me?

Ben: yes

Ben: what is you optus customer support id?

Rick: Its CP491308.

Ben: thank you. good bye

Rick: Thank you for visiting us. Enjoy your day!
