Slowcooker beef crockpot

Source: common knowledge, Binki’s experience, loosely based on instructions from crockpot/slowcooker thing.

Ingredients

  • 2 bay leafs/leafs
  • celery
  • 0.5lb bacon (or just get smallest package, preferrably uncured)
  • 2lb beef (chuck roast without much fat or top round steak, best to choose cheaper)
  • 1 cup sake
  • 2tsp ground black pepper
  • 3 redskin potatoes peeled sliced or 2 brown potatoes peeled sliced
  • 2 carrots peeled sliced
  • 2 (yellow/medium) round onions peeled sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic peeled sliced

Instructions

  1. Take celery and separate from base.
  2. Trim and wash celery well to ensure there is no sand/dirt.
  3. Trim and peel all other vegetables.
  4. Slice all vegetables.
  5. Place all vegetables on bottom of the crockpot from bottom up: potatoes, carrots, celery, onions, garlic.
  6. Add spices (bay leafs, black pepper).
  7. Add beef.
  8. Add bacon.
  9. Pour over sake.
  10. Cook on low for 8 hours.
