In the reference manual (via support page), find the instructions for HID (Human Interface Device Mode) under “RS507 Bluetooth Connection Using HID and SPP Profiles”. There are instructions to:
- Remove battery.
- Hold down “Restore” key.
- Replace battery.
- Wait 5 seconds until chirps and tritone.
- Release the “Restore” key.
- Scan the HID bar code from the manual and wait for chirps.
- Remove the battery.
- Return the battery.
Now the scanner is willing to pair as a keyboard to anything.
To set up to press enter after sending data, get the Advanced Data Formatting Programmer Guide (it may also be available via Zebra’s website). Follow this procedure:
- In case there are rules from before, scan “Erase All Rules”.
- Scan “Begin New Rule”.
- Scan “Send All Data That Remains”.
- Scan “Send Enter Key”.
- Scan “Save Rule”.
