- Twitter (free) - hasn't been updated in forever, but it's still a great way to interact with Twitter. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/twitter/id409789998?mt=12
- CloudApp (free) - really easy way to share pictures and other stuff. Just drag the picture to the menu bar icon. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cloud/id417602904?mt=12
- The Unarchiver (free) - easiest way to unzip stuff Mac doesn't unzip automatically. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/the-unarchiver/id425424353?mt=12
- iA Writer (50% off right now - $5) - A wonderfully minimal writing interface with an expertly crafted large-letter font and the option to go into an even more minimal focus mode. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ia-writer/id439623248?mt=12
- Evernote (free) - Keep track of all the things forever. I scan all of my important physical mail into this and have access to it on my phone wherever I am. You have to buy the premium service to secure it with a password, though. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/evernote/id406056744?mt=12
- Reeder ($5) - If you use Google Reader to keep track of RSS subscriptions, this is the best interface for it I've ever used. Clean, reable, and usable. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/reeder/id439845554?mt=12
- Pocket (free) - Use this in conjunction with their browser plugin and mobile apps to keep track of stuff you want to read later. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pocket/id568494494?mt=12
- Dropbox (free) - Use it along with the mobile app to keep files in sync, and to keep backups of things you don't want to lose. Dropbox doesn't have daily/weekly archiving, though, so it shouldn't be your only backup. https://www.dropbox.com/home
- Backblaze ($5/month) - Very simple automatic backups in the cloud. I've used it several times when I accidentally deleted a file I needed, or I changed something and I needed it back the old way. http://www.backblaze.com/
- AppCleaner (free) - If you install apps from someplace other than the App Store (by dragging them into the Applications folder, for example), this app will help you cleanly uninstall it later if you need to. http://www.freemacsoft.net/appcleaner/
