I have done some more digging on this, tried once more, and attached the error.
I work for BigCommerce Pty Ltd, and have had - both here and in the course of my career - extensive experience working with and developing software for ecommerce and for credit card payment systems, so please do not blow me off with the usual 'speak to your bank/check your account/have you made sure...' BS:
(a) I am absolutely sure the card number, name and CCV2 are valid. (b) I am absolutely sure the address is valid for the account. (c) I am absolutely sure there are funds in the account.
This is my primary card and I use it frequently for online purchases with other companies both in Australia and abroad, with no problems. In addition, I have spoken to 3 other engineers here at BC that have had the same problem with your system. We love your service, but if we can't pay for it, we're going to bail. You have a problem with your payment processor for, at least, Australian CommBank MasterCard Debit cards. This is costing you customers.
Please look into it?

If you got a 2046 error , you will have to contact your bank for details. We'd love to hear the reason why, if you find out.
