Individual presentation
My name is Boyang, it sounds somewhat like young boy, in case it helps. I intern with CIB tech, SCPP team, or Securities core processing platform. I also serve as class lead for technology interns.
***So we have 5 minutes to summarize 10 weeks’ worth of experience. It is way too short, especially when it's so special. I'll give my best shot.***
To summarize, the internship to me is new. New is the keyword here. Back in school I knew Computer Science and only Computer Science, and I was good at it. But I didn’t know much about teamwork, collaboration and leadership. But by now I've tried and learned so many new things and I've done things that I had never imagined that I would have ever done. Examples.
1. Once I walked across to the other side of the floor, grabbed someone and ask "I heard there is this Janus support team sits somewhere around. Do you have any idea where they are or perhaps someone whom I can talk to?" I wouldn't do that in the past because I was shy and, reluctant to seek help from stran
Good morning, we are team MaSA, stands for Market Sentiment Analyzer. Today we are going to present on our project on market sentiment analysis
Let me first introduce our team, .., .., .., .., ..,
A quick overview of our presentation today
We will start by defining the problem which we are tackling. Then we will give a overview of our product in the form of a demo. Moving on to product design, followed by project management, and future considerations and takeaways. Lastly we will have a 10 min Q&A session where we will be addressing all questions.
So, what is the motivation, or the business value behind the project? It came from the space of risk management, which is essential in any investment bank. Practitioners are constantly looking for new factors to complete their risk management arsenal, so as to make better, more informed decisions, and so as to have more stable profit & more controllable loss, as a ultimate goal. This is illustrated in the diagram. An investment bank with strong risk management

Java Cert Notes

  • Unchecked Exceptions are literally those not checked by compiler to force a catch/rethrow. In effect it's all those inherites from RuntimeException class.
  • for loop: init-bool-body-update-bool-body-update-...-bool-QUIT
  • Only compiler error if lose precision e.g. int a = 3.14
  • Variable declaration or declaration + assignment (e.g. int a = 1; int a = getInt();) are not statement (i.e. to be used in control flows as block). E.g.if (true) int a = 2; // INVALID. But just use {} to convert to a statement: if (true) { int a = 2; } // VALID
  • ++i i++ same as C
  • The signature of the main method: public static void main(String[] foobar) or public static void main(String... barfoo). And it can also be a final.
  • The mythical do-while: do while (true) {} while(true); is not so mythical after all! It's nested do-while + while!
  • This is wrong: TwoLoops() { super(); this(1); } because call to this must be the first statement (so exclusive with super())
  • `super.getClass().toString
