Great Guide. ;)

Did you build it actually?
If yes, can you post some pictures of your final build? ;D

Yes I did! It was super fun and I couldn't think of going back to a normal keyboard ever again. I also brought it to our research group in Darmstadt everyday for work and people were so interested in the keyboard that we've organized a workshop so that everyone interested could build their own!

Here are some assembly photos and the end result (I prefer the black caps):

Hey @Steven-LANG!

The notification worked, I have just been very busy the last few weeks. 😅

Your Lily looks great! I and two colleagues have just finished our own variations and I found it to be a great project to tinker around with. I have also added LEDs to mine which was a bit too ambiguous for my first soldering project, I guess. I even had to move some cables for the LEDs because I had damaged a few contacts of the SIMD/legless LEDs. 😅😅

Sooner or later I will certainly build a second one! ;)

Best

I'm planning on building one and this information is super useful, thanks!. But I'm not sure I will be comfortable or not with 58 keys, and I never worked with layers before

Glad you like it! The ones in the pictures are blank DSA 1U caps. The long ones for the thumbs are 2U caps.
