I was frustrated with how terrible the 8BitDo Ultimate V2 Software is for the 87-key and 108-key keyboards specifically. For controllers, it's perfectly fine. However, it feels like the developers of the software have never seen the keyboards in real life, and have never actually used the software themselves. I know that's not true, which makes it all the more baffling on how bad the software is.
The worst parts for me:
- The keyboard shortcuts are all Windows specific, and it is not labeled on the box that this is the case. They cannot be changed, as they are embedded in the firmware that way. Your 108-key keyboard essentially turns into a 88-key keyboard with a spare 20 useless keys. This is absolutely dumb.
- They don't even support the 108-key Keyboard on MacOS AT-ALL. They didn't even bother to add support to the Mac version before they released the keyboard.
