Kyoto

This is a big shrine in the mountain. If you go to the top of the shrine, it's almost like hiking. So you need to wear a sneaker. And I think it'll take 2-3 hours totally.

How to go

From Kyoto station, it's good to take the Kintetsu Kyoto line(近鉄 京都線). It take about 10 mins from Kyoto station.

Sanjyo- Shijyo area (三条, 四条)

In this area, there're some good places.

This is just alley but you can see the Kyoto traditional view. It's about 20 mins walk.

It's a area enclosed by a squrea 👇

How to go

You can go there by a train. There're two ways from Kyoto station to go:

  1. Take JR Nara line to Tofukuji(東福寺) station, change the traion to Kaihan(京阪) line, and go to the Sanjyo(三条) station.
  2. Take Karasuma line to KarasumaOike(烏丸御池) station, change the train to Tozai(東西) line, and go to the Sanjyo-Keihan(三条京阪) station.

Both takes about 15-20 mins.

You can eat a good Katsu here 😄 This is in the Shin Kyogoku street. When I went to the restaurant, they have vegi option.

This is one of famous temples in Kyoto. Many shops are near the temple.

How to go

According to the link to Kiyomizu-temple site,

Kiyomizudera can be reached from Kyoto Station by bus number 100 or 206 (15 minutes, 230 yen). Get off at Gojo-zaka or Kiyomizu-michi bus stop

But if you'll go there from Sanjyo-Shijyo area, you can go there by the Keihan train. The Kiyomizu-Gojyo(清水五条) station is next to Gion-shijyo(祇園四条) station. From Kiyomizu-Gojyo station to Kiyomizu station, you need to walk a bit (about 20mins??), but on the way, you can find a food cafe, Higashiyama Saryo(東山茶寮) on the way.
