Create Read Only IAM User on AWS

Goal

To create a new user that leverages the AWS ReadOnlyAccess policy in order to allow for account auditing.

Steps

  • Login to AWS and go to IAM
  • Navigate to the "Users" page and click "Add User" user_screen
  • Give the user a name and give them access to the AWS Console before clicking "next" select_user_access_types

Renova NetSuite/Skedulo Integration Research

Skedulo

  • Has an API, but it's managed services.

  • Had a meeting with them on 8/24. They explained that they leverage Salesforce on the backend which means that to programmatically make changes to the Skedulo UI, we will have to use the Salesforce API.

  • This requires Renova to have a Salesforce account. Two downsides to this:

    • Could get pricey
    • Seems a like a convoluted flow NetSuite >> Salesforce API >> Salesforce datastore >> Skedulo Account >> Skedulo UI
