• Download the CLI version of etcher from here: https://github.com/balena-io/balena-cli/blob/master/INSTALL.md
  • (on macs you can just do brew install balena-cli )
• Once you have it downloaded, executable, and on your path, do this:

# connect your flash drive
# make sure it is visible to etcher

$ balena util available-drives

$ balena local flash <img-file>

# An interactive text prompt will ask you to select a target drive, and away you go
