Public Spaces near Moscone West

WWDC 2012 sold out in a matter of hours. San Francisco has lots of privately owned public open spaces during business hours. WWDC Spaces is a place for us to organize a list of good ones near Moscone so developers looking to escape Moscone and non-attendees alike can gather. Leave a comment here and I'll add them to the wiki with links.

SPUR has a list of public spaces downtown. Have you been to one? Leave a comment with info about it! (I can’t visit all of these, though I’m going to try.)

  • 101 Second Street. Yelp.
  • NoiseBridge, 2169 Mission St (Mission between 17th and 18th).

I've been in contact with NoiseBridge (https://www.noisebridge.net/wiki/Noisebridge) who are a co-working/hacker space at 2169 Mission St, they have a room that we can use for 10-15 people. I've also suggested to them that we would like to have a meet up to do the live blog thing for the keynote, and they were ok with that. They also have wifi.

We (Appsterdam) are currently finalising the details for a space provided by an SF company, with coffee/beer/elec/internet included. I'll hopefully have something out in the next few days once I confirm some more stuff, and get an info page together.

If there are any companies that want to sponsor a lunch etc, or anyone wants to help out, drop me an email to robelkin [at] me [dot] com or @robelkin on twitter.

The Metreon is being remodeled. The food court looks finished and is close to WWDC. It has food (obviously) and... free WiFi.
