For a quick, large batch of coffee on weekday mornings (or busy weekends!), I have recently been using this Bonavita brewer. I usually make around 600-800 mL, using a medium grind, and using a 15:1 water:coffee ratio by mass.
I just recently got this press. I haven't tried it yet, but I suspect I will end up using it every weekend.
- A good bit simpler than Aeropress, IMO. I'll make it if I just need a good, single cup.
- Around 195-200℉, I think

- This Aeropress timer app is nifty.
- The ideal temperature is right around 187-190℉
- I do tend to like my coffee quite strong. Per the Aeropress FAQ, Aero-brewed coffee is smooth and tends not to taste as strong. Consequently, for most brew methods:
- I err on the side of a finer-than-recommended grind
- I tend to let my brew steep for longer than recommended
- I tend to add a little more coffee than recommended
- I tend to use it on weekends or when I want to try things out. But I've been using it less and less lately.
- I do quite like the Charger brew method included in the Aeropress app, more-or-less as-is
- I have yet to try most of the other methods in the app
