INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the Ceylon Web IDE

On this page you can easily try out simple (and not so simple) code examples written in Ceylon.

To start off you can click on any of the examples listed in the side bar on the right followed by pressing the Run button in the toolbar displayed right above this text.

You can play around with any of the examples by making changes to the code to see what happens. And once you are ready to write your own code you can select New Project from the menu (also located in the toolbar) which will give you an empty project to work with.

Apart from .ceylon code, the IDE also supports .js files and .md Markdown documents like this one.

All your code can be saved as "Gists" on GitHub by selecting Save All from the menu. By default this will create anonymous Gists which can't be changed anymore so really the best thing to do would be to enable the GitHub integration by clicking the Connect button in the toolbar. This will allow your code to be saved in your GitHub account so you can update and save them at any time.
