Back-end Developer at Pool Labs (Remote)

Company

Pool revolutionizes the way we work by creating an executive assistant that helps you take care of the many tasks that surface during your day. The intelligent assistant acts as a cognitive super-layer, facilitating a direct interaction between you and your SaaS. Simply delegate meetings to schedule, expenses to capture, CRM updates and much more – so you can do the work that actually matters.

Pool is an artificial intelligence company operating at and pushing the boundaries of AI science. Run by a small team of tech veterans in combination with some of the brightest minds from ETH Zurich, a top-tier research university for AI. The platform is built upon an virtual layer abstracting the actions done on public APIs as standardized actions.

Mission

The back-end developer will be responsible for the integration of services to our API. His first mission will be to integrate and maintain a list of features to our platform with the API of some the most popular services of this sector.

You will be responsible for the maintenance of existing services and the addition of new features and services. As a back-end developer you will be involved early in product and feature definition

The mid-term mission will be to move towards an industrialization of the process of API integration. You will be responsible for this process that may involve more developers.

Skills

  • Good knowledge and understanding of the HTTP and OAuth(2) protocols
  • Web Development (2 years +)
  • Python (2 years +). An experience with a Python web framework is a plus.
  • Event-driven programming
  • Experience working with public APIs
  • Experience working with NodeJS is a +

Competencies

  • Fluent English Speaking/Reading/Writing
  • Independent
  • Structured and self disciplined
  • Good communications skills are essential to remote work
  • Strong interest for the startup world
  • Experience in team work
  • An experience working remotely is a plus

We are a small company so our work is still strongly interconnected, and the candidate will interact on a daily basis with all the other developers and the product manager.

Selection process

We will do a pre-selection of few developers and will apply a test for the selected devs within next week. The devs that go well on test will have interviews via Skype or Hangouts.
