Cyanogen nightly on Xperia T
Cyanogen doesn't accept bug reports on nightly builds, so here is a list of GOOD and BAD things I am experiencing with my Xperia T.
What to expect (pros):
- better battery life (I'd say 30% more)
- better performances (50% more responsive)
- better camera performances (starts in just 1sec)
- Google Play Services seem to be (finally) under control - no battery drain
- 4.4.x goodness - no need for "Enter" for the PIN unlock, oh joy :)
What to expect (cons):
- random freezes (with automatic reboots). I'd say one a day.
- the screen tends to switch on without your intervention (you take the phone out of your pocket and it's on)
- no "native" FM Radio application
- to use the FM radio you need the Spirit2 App (maybe version 1 is OK) which has an horrendous bug: after listening to
the radio, you have to reboot because the mic is not working anymore
- sometimes the UI crashes (and auto restarts in just 2 secs, no big deal). The frequency of this happening seems related to
theme you're using
All in all, I am super happy: I was thinking about buying another phone but now I can wait much longer (sorry Sony) :)
