Meeting notes
# Agenda
- Current 1.0 release build
- 270 stuff
- Hardware
# Notes
- 1.0 release
- Python 3.8, still launches. Works on Linux and Windows, will launch. Windows 7 launches
- Stable enough for testing. Some minor changes in the UI need testing.
- More technical issues. Patterning and timing issues.
- Adrienne can't flash to interface on the current build but could on previous builds from Winows, will work with the shield
- Sam, latest release doesn't work on M1, won't work on recent OS versions of Intel Macs.
- Intel Macs, rejected by the system, "not supported on this OS" previous build (end of June) worked fine
- Only big change was switch to Python 3.8, maybe some changes to the build system.
- FBS and Py installer updates, Sam is going to take a look.
- Windows and Linux work, we can focus on Mac
- Sonarcloud, static code analysis
- 0 code smell in desktop software
- No hard requirements to fix these issues, but would be nice to have
- Only analyizes the changes, not the whole codebase
- 270
- Values PR went in
- Unifying code paths now
- Currently having misspatterning issues.
- Hardware
- Merged PR for ESP32 hardware schematic, going to iterate from there
- Needs github actions for diffs
- No milestones or timing setup yet
- Grant application
- Not this year, but next year
- Parsons professors might be interested
- Market research people might be interested
- Networking
- Phases for project development, Phase 1 is exploratory, Phase 2 is building out. AYAB is between the two at the moment
- Open source ecosystem is based on size of project. Needs governance and structure for decision making and involvement.
- Meant to help grow the project and build the structure
- Funding potentially for: market research, pay developers for testing and documentation. Not for actually developing features, not for people outside the US.
- From the VCF
- Nintendo prototyped knitting machine attachment, never made it into production
- One guy who has more info in English, working on a prototype
- Another guy who showed up the Bay Area meetup (long ago) had a 910 hooked up to a Nintendo using AYAB as a starting point
- Lots of people interested in the Arduino and internals
- Applied for 2nd weekend of Maker Faire
