Install FFmpeg with homebrew. You'll need to install it with a couple flags for webm and the AAC audio codec.
brew install ffmpeg --with-libvpx --with-libvorbis --with-fdk-aac --with-opus

ffmpeg -i audio.aiff -i video.mov -acodec copy -vcodec copy -f mp4 avcombined.mp4
# encode the audio as aac and copy the video track without encoding it. if its the h264 codec
ffmpeg -i audio.aiff -i video.mov -acodec libfaac -ac 2 -ar 48000 -ab 160k -vcodec copy -f mp4 avcombined.mp4 |

* right click/ctrl click on any entry in the network log, select Copy > Copy All as HAR
* open up JS console and enter: var har = [paste]
* (pasting could take a while if there's a lot of requests)
* paste the following JS code into the console
* copy the output, paste into a text file
* open up a terminal in same directory as text file, then: wget -i [that file]

The easiest way to "convert" MKV to MP4, is to copy the existing video and audio streams and place them into a new container. This avoids any encoding task and hence no quality will be lost, it is also a fairly quick process and requires very little CPU power. The main factor is disk read/write speed.
With ffmpeg
this can be achieved with -c copy
. Older examples may use -vcodec copy -acodec copy
which does the same thing.
These examples assume ffmpeg
is in your PATH
. If not just substitute with the full path to your ffmpeg binary.
