  • Tee shirts
  • Long-sleeve shirts
  • Sweater/jacket that can be layered
  • Lightweight rain gear (like gore-tex jacket from REI)
  • Lightweight touchscreen gloves (sometimes called running gloves)
  • Your outfit can add/remove layers such that it can work in freezing 30 to hot 80 degrees
  • Check the weather when you're 10 days out and adjust as necessary
  • Small backpack to carry clothes and other things
  • Formal outfit (indoor temp controlled dinner or two)
  • Scarf
  • Shorts
  • Swimsuit
  • Your mega backpacking socks if you already have those
  • Treating outerwear and hiking shoes (I don't use on parts that touch my skin) with Permethrin is a good idea

Medical

  • Prescriptions
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug Spray (for this trip probably fine sharing a bottle), Picaridin 4 oz for two
  • Optionally spray your gear with Permethrin the day before you leave
  • Earplugs
  • Ibuprofen/Tylenol
  • Whatever Allergy pills you might take
  • Sleeping pills just in case
  • Motion sickness pills - chewable is best, so you can take a partial dose (and only take what is necessary)
  • Pepto bismol - chewable
  • Gas-X
  • I'll bring drugs in case someone gets sick, we don't need everyone to bring a pharmacy
  • Rescue inhaler and Epipen (I'll bring)
  • Lotion and chapstick
  • Toothbrush and paste
  • Deodorant
  • Hair stuff

Phone

  • Preload with netflix/spotify/etc
  • Make sure you've got space for photos
  • Can mess with the ship app now or while we're waiting to board

Electronics and others

  • Kindle with books already downloaded
  • Noise canceling headphones
  • Chargers
  • Extra Camera if your phone won't cut it
  • Binoculars
  • A hair dryer if you're picky about cheap ones
  • Gallon Zip Lock Bags
  • Do NOT take extension cables or power strips, they will get ganked by security
