Bayes and Bagels Schedule

We will be reading Statistical Rethinking by Richard McElreath. A link to lectures and code for the book is here.

Meetings will be at 9am in 319 Nisbet (there is plenty of parking!).

  • May 31: Organization

  • June 14: Golems and Worlds (Chapters 1 and 2)

  • June 28: Sampling and Linear Models (Chapters 3 and 4)

  • July 12: Overfitting, Regularization (Chapter 6, shorter, get it)

  • July 26: MCMC and MaxEnt (Chapters 8 and 9)

  • August 9: Monsters, Mixtures and Multilevel Models (oh my, Chapters 11 and 12)

  • August 23: Monkeys's and Missing Data (Chapters 13 and 14)
